Kennedy is in her third term as the mayor of Indian Rocks Beach and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Barrier Island Governmental Council.

"Pinellas County is my home. I grew up attending local schools in our county. I have a successful track record building relationships and consensus in municipal government. Listening to the needs of our residence and business owners has been the cornerstone to my service as a public servant. I love being an elected official, and I’ve dedicated most of my life to public service. This is a time when we need smart, authentic individuals, who understand local government, and want to work as a team on issues that present themselves in our county. I spend a lot of time out in the field, responding to citizens with an open mind, integrity, and respect for their concerns. Pinellas County has a wonderful story, and I want to be one of the architects for the best days that lie ahead and a stronger quality of life for all of us."
